Junior Interior Designer

Earls Kitchen + Bar is hiring an Interior Designer to join our in-house award winning Store Design team in our new Gastown head office. This person will have a passion for creating and evolving environments that are innovative, dynamic and functional.

In this role you will support the Design team with the creation of floor plans, conceptual designs, furniture, fixtures and equipment plans. You will assist with creating 3D digital concept models that embody our design vision. You will also be responsible for sourcing furniture, fixture and finishes to create a fantastic guest experience.

The person best suited for this role will be a progressive thinker who loves design and architecture. You take direction well, and love working in a collaborative environment. You are detail oriented, self motivated and have strong communication skills. Earls Kitchen + Bar is a family-run business, launched by father and son, Leroy Earl “Bus” Fuller and Stanley Earl Fuller in the early ‘80s and is also one of North America’s most successful independent restaurant groups. There are about 7,000 employees at 68 locations from Vancouver to Miami. Earls started with a simple idea: a laid-back burger and beer joint.   • Assist in execution of site-specific design vision that will allow every new store design and renovation to effectively express the brand and provide functional excellence.
  • Execute the delivery of floor plans and conceptual designs for multiple projects.
  • Develop 3D models of conceptual designs for effective execution of working drawings (construction document packages.)
  • Deliver unified and stunning articulations of the brand by executing furniture, fixtures, and equipment packages and producing purchase orders for custom items.
  • Manage resource library and liaise with sales reps.


  • Bachelor Degree in Interior Design
  • SketchUp 3D conceptual designs or similar software
  • AutoCAD
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe software including Photoshop


  • Experience working in a restaurant
  • A serious passion for food – we like to eat around here (sometimes wine is involved)
  • A great sense of humour
  • Open to personal development and growth
  • Big team player – able to be both a leader and also support those around them
  • Willing to travel on occasion
